Program description MbmUtils is a suite of bitmap viewing, manipulation and printing utilities. The program is capable of opening .mbm files (both normal & ROM based), sketch files & .aif files. Files can be saved to .mbm (both single bitmap & multiple bitmap types) & standard sketch files. Using the program you can fully organise multiple bitmap files with the add bitmap, append bitmap, replace bitmap & delete bitmap functions. You can also individually re-size bitmaps & alter their colour depths. As well as these multiple-bitmap organisation functions, there are many functions in the program related to bitmap manipulation, such as x/y flipping, rotation, insertion/deletion of rows/columns, zooming (up to x20), embossing, motion blurring, rippling, skewing & solarizing. The program also has a 20 level undo/redo buffer, so if you make a mistake, you can restore you work to it's original state in a keypress. By using the programs own built in clipboard, you can cut/copy a bitmap & then paste it back into the open file somewhere else, making organising multiple bitmaps even easier. The 'show all bitmaps in file' function allows you at a glance to see all the available bitmaps in the currently open file. This makes navigating through large multiple-bitmap files very easy. As well as the clearly laid out menus, the large toolbars make it very easy to access the most commonly used functions of the program. The program also has bitmap printing functions, so you can print out normal bitmaps, sketch files or .aif files, using the print preview function you can see what the printed image will look like before you send it to the printer. MbmUtils, now saves its .mbm files with its own icon, so opening them from the system screen is very easy, so no more importing & messing around with open file dialogs is necessary. Open files can also be exported to a standard .mbm file so that other applications may open the files. Sketch will happily import MbmUtils .mbm files, but some applications may not like the MbmUtils file type, so you can simply use the export file function to export the currently open file to a standard .mbm. If you prefer, you can disable the 'save files with icon' option, so that files are always saved in the standard format. The program has fully comprehensive on-line help so you should always be able find help for even the most complex of functions. |
