When finished, it will allow you to search through all the gold, silver & platinum hallmarks. If you have a vague idea of the date you can 'jump to' that year and you can then search through the list of hallmarks to find the correct year. The program will include hallmarks from the four-assay offices, London, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Sheffield.
